Staying healthy

The prevailing regulations for protection against the corona epidemic mean great restrictions in our everyday life. This can have negative effects on our physical and mental health. Lack of exercise, social isolation and the feeling of not being able to do anything (or even practice) are risk factors for this.

On this page, we present you with ways to counteract this risk.

Where do I turn if I suspect I'm infected with Corona?

The symptoms of infection by the corona virus are mainly fever and cough, fatigue and aching limbs. If you notice these signs in yourself, you should stay at home immediately and avoid any new contact with other people. A particular symptom of the corona infection has been reported to be that the affected persons no longer smell or taste anything. This can also be an early sign.

As a student, please inform your main subject teacher and the university immediately about the gate number (0761/31915-25) and stay at home.

If you have a fever and cough, you should contact your family doctor. Make an appointment by telephone. If you don't have a family doctor in Freiburg, you can look up a doctor in a practice for general or internal medicine on the Internet and call him/her.

When you visit your doctor, if you have a justified suspicion of corona infection, he or she will issue a referral for you to report to the central contact point for suspected cases of corona. This so-called fever outpatient clinic has been set up in Freiburg on the new exhibition grounds. Here, appropriate tests can be carried out and/or further necessary treatment measures can be arranged.
