Tuition and Fees

Master Degree holders will have to pay  tuition of 500,- EUR per semester for any second or further Master's Degree studies.

Formal Requirements for the Entrance Examination

  • Completed registration form (PRINTOUT) including supplementary documentation
  • Passport photo
  • Complete curriculum vitae
  • School and college certificates/diplomas (certified copies and German translation, if applicable)
  • For students without university entrance qualification: declaration by applicant confirming willingness to take extra an qualifying examination in addition to the regular entrance examination
  • foreign-language applicants: certificate of language test (DTZ, Deutschtest für Zuwanderer), Type B1.
  • For minors: statement of consent by legal guardians
  • Proof of payment of 50 EUR registration fee; see bank details on registration form
  • two envelopes addressed to yourself size A4 and C6 plus corresponding International Coupons

Artistic Requirements for the Entrance Examination

Major field examinatio:

  • For Voice and instruments generally three or four works in various styles and, in some cases, one etude (15-20 minutes)
     e.g. major field Piano: four works and one etude
  • For Choral Conducting, Elementary-Level Music Education, Film Music, Ear Training, Historical Performance Practice, Composition, Art Song, Music and Movement / Rhythmic Training, Music Theory, and Orchestral Conducting, please refer to the info sheets or the appendix to the Matriculation Regulations.

The examination commission selects the pieces to be performed from the applicant’s list of examination pieces. The commission may interrupt the performance of a piece at any time due to time constraints.
