Opera Workshop.

Commedia dell'arte/Opera Buffa/Dramma giocosa in Freiburg

Lecturer: Friederike Schulz (Commedia dell'arte), Attilio Cremonsi (recitative work and improvisation), Pietro Spagnoli (master class singing and comic performance in opera)

Description: Workshops and Masterclasses on the topic "Comedy in Opera

Participants: Students of singing, correpetition and conducting from Basel, Colmar/Strasbourg and Freiburg

Opera Workshop.

Opera and Commedia dell'arte in Colmar and Strasbourg

Management: Friederike Schulz

Description: The Italian Commedia dell'arte has strongly influenced European culture. Numerous opera characters are based on the characters of Arlecchino, Scaramouche, Pagliaccio, Pantalone, Capitano Matamore and Colombina. Excerpts from works by Mozart, Donizetti, Rossini etc.

Performances: Friday November 20, 2020 at 2:15 pm and Saturday November 21, 2020 at 11:15am, Petite Salle de la Comédie, Colmar; Thursday November 26, 2020 at 8:30pm, Couvent des Dominicains de Haute-Alsace, Guebwiller; Friday November 27, 2020 at 1pm and Saturday November 28, 2020 at 11am, Opéra, Salle Bastide, Strasbourg

Participants: Students of the music academies and opera studios of Basel, Colmar/Strasbourg and Freiburg

 

The workshop has been cancelled due to the new lockdown. We will try to offer alternative dates.
