Principal subjects in artistic and artistic-pedagogic profile: Main subject lessons, repertoire, chamber music/ensemble, theory/ear training/musicology, elective module 

Supplementary subjects in artistic-pedagogic profile: Methodology/didactics, music education, written project

Requirements in the entrance exam

a) Conducting: Rehearsal with two pianos or with a university ensemble. The candidate receives the task at least two weeks before the examination.

b) Subject-specific listening test: Intervals, chords and chord connections, tasks from the areas of error hearing, rhythm/metre.

c) Playing scores and piano reductions: reading transpositions and clefs, sight-reading simple scores and piano reductions.

d) Instrumental/vocal major subject: performance of three works from three styles.

e) Piano (if not instrumental main subject): Performance of two compositions from two styles.

f) Written test: questions from the areas of repertoire knowledge, instrumentation/instrumentology, music theory and music history; duration: approx. 60 minutes.

At the candidate's request, further areas of specialisation can be presented (e.g. orchestral instruments, composition).

Total duration: approx. 120 minutes.

Requirements in the entrance exam

c) Score and piano reduction playing: reading transpositions and clefs, sight-reading difficult scores and piano reductions, accompaniment (prepared - the candidate receives the task at least two weeks before the examination).

d) Instrumental/vocal major subject: performance of three works from three styles.

e) Piano (if not instrumental main subject): Performance of two compositions from two styles.

f) Written test: questions from the areas of repertoire knowledge, instrumentation/instrumentology, music theory and music history (duration: approx. 90 minutes).

At the candidate's request, further areas of specialisation can be presented (e.g. orchestral instruments, composition).

Duration: approx. 150 minutes in total.

c) Score and piano reduction playing: reading transpositions and clefs, sight-reading difficult scores and piano reductions, accompaniment (prepared - the candidate will receive the task at least two weeks before the examination).

d) Instrumental/vocal major subject: performance of two works from two styles.

e) Piano (if not instrumental main subject): Performance of two compositions from two styles.

f) Written test: questions from the areas of repertoire knowledge, instrumentation/instrumentology, music theory and music history, duration: approx. 60 minutes.

g) Colloquium: Colloquium on rehearsal and literature studies.

Total duration: approx. 150 minutes.
